Team Stefan Angelov Institute of Microbiology

The IMSA team includes three scientists, one specialist and one student. Four of the team members have extensive experience, both in experimental studies of the processes of anaerobic biodegradation of various organic wastes and their mixtures, and in the modeling of these processes. The work on this topic was developed within the framework of projects financed by the National Research Institute, the European Space Agency, Erasmus+. There are four PhD students who have successfully defended their thesis in recent years. Research results have been presented at prestigious international forums and in refereed publications from Elsevier, Springer, MDPI, etc. Some of the members of the collective have a protected utility model, specifically concerning the utilization of a two-component mixture of pig manure and straw.
